Job Summary:

Novo Insurance Broking Services is seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter & Claims Head specializing in Engineering and Marine lines of business. The role involves underwriting complex risks, managing claims processes, and providing technical expertise to support client risk solutions and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, underwrite, and price Engineering and Marine insurance risks.
• Develop underwriting guidelines and risk assessment frameworks.
• Oversee end-to-end claims management, including investigation, settlement, and recovery.
• Coordinate with insurers, surveyors, and clients to ensure timely claims resolution.
• Provide technical support to sales teams for structuring insurance programs.
• Monitor portfolio performance, loss ratios, and risk exposure.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Build and maintain relationships with insurers and key stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in underwriting and claims handling.
• Strong expertise in Engineering and Marine insurance products.
• Proven experience managing complex and high-value claims.
• Excellent risk analysis, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong knowledge of IRDAI regulations and industry practices.
• Professional certifications (ACII, III, or equivalent) preferred.
