Industrial Trainee - CA

Role Overview:

The CA Industrial Trainee will assist the Finance team in performing accounting, auditing, taxation and financial analysis tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates pursuing the Chartered Accountancy (CA) course to gain practical, on-the-job experience and exposure to various finance functions within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

(a) Financial Accounting:

(i) Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly/yearly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).

(ii) Support the team in maintaining general ledgers and accounts.

(iii) Process journal entries, reconcile accounts, and ensure proper accounting procedures are followed.

(b) Audit Support:

(i) Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documents and reports.

(ii) Perform audit procedures and testing in accordance with the audit plan.

(iii) Prepare work papers and audit schedules as required by auditors.

(c) Financial Analysis and Reporting:

(i) Perform financial analysis by examining financial data and reports.

(ii) Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

(iii) Help in preparing financial reports and presentations for management.

(d) Compliance and Regulatory:

(i) Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements for accounting, auditing and taxation.

(ii) Assist in filing necessary compliance reports with authorities (e.g., GST returns, income tax filings).

(e) Other Duties:

(i) Support in ad-hoc financial and accounting tasks.

(ii) Participate in ongoing projects related to finance transformation or automation.Skills and Qualifications:Education: Pursuing CA (Final/Intermediate level) from a recognized institution.

Technical Skills:

(i) Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books).

(ii) Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (advanced functions like Pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

(iii) Understanding of accounting principles (Ind AS, IFRS).
