Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Delivery

IGCSE Level: Deliver Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics or Additional Mathematics. Focus on core algebraic manipulation, geometric reasoning, and trigonometry.
IB Diploma Programme: Facilitate the two distinct IB pathways:
Analysis and Approaches (AA): Focusing on abstract proofs, calculus, and mathematical rigour.
Applications and Interpretation (AI): Focusing on statistics, modelling, and the use of technology in mathematics.
Inquiry-Based Learning: Shift from rote memorization to "conceptual understanding," helping students see the connections between different mathematical topics.

Assessment & Mentorship

Internal Assessment (IA) Supervision: Guide IBDP students through their Mathematics Exploration (IA)an individual piece of written work that involves investigating an area of mathematics.
Extended Essay (EE): Mentor students choosing to write their research paper in Mathematics.
Standardized Grading: Mark assessments according to IGCSE and IB rubrics, ensuring students understand the specific "Command Terms" used in international exams.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: A Masters or Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (Engineering/Physics).
Experience: Proven track record of teaching IGCSE and IBDP (Higher Level and Standard Level).

Technical & Pedagogical Expertise

Graphic Display Calculators (GDC): Expert proficiency in using and teaching TI-Nspire or Casio Prizm calculators, which are essential for IBDP examinations.
Mathematical Software: Skill in using Geogebra, Desmos, or WolframAlpha to visualize complex functions and data sets.
TOK Integration: Ability to weave "Theory of Knowledge" into math lessons.
