HR and Talent Acquisition Specialist | Treelife | Mumbai (BKC) | Full-time | On-site
Treelife is a legal, finance, and compliance advisory firm built for the startup ecosystem. We work with seed-to-Series B founders, HNIs, and family offices across entity setup, FEMA, ESOP, fundraising compliance, Virtual CFO, AIF structuring, and GIFT City advisory. We are a 40-person team across Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and GIFT City and our clients are founders who have just closed a round and need a sharp, trusted firm in their corner.
The Role
We are hiring one HR and Talent Acquisition Specialist. This is a standalone hire and there are no further additions to the HR team planned for the foreseeable future. You will be the execution layer of the function, working directly with our HR Head.
Roughly half your time will be talent acquisition. The other half will span HR operations, employee engagement, and policy and compliance work. If you want a role where you own things end-to-end and are not waiting for a committee to move, this is it.
What You Will Do
Talent Acquisition (50%)
- Own the full hiring cycle from JD to sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, offer, and onboardingnkedIn Recruiter and Naukri, not just post-and-pray
- Build and maintain a pipeline for the roles we hire most: CAs, CS, lawyers, finance professionals, and general business roles
- Manage candidate experience from first touch to joining
HR Operations and Generalist (50%)
- HR documentation including offer letters, contracts, policies, and personnel records
- Employee engagement covering onboarding experience and culture touchpoints
- Payroll coordination with our finance team\
- work on culture related activities
- Policy and compliance: maintaining and updating HR policies and ensuring statutory compliance basics are in order
What We Are Looking For
- 3 to 5 years of HR experience with a clear TA track record
- Prior experience in B2B professional services, consulting, legal, CA, or advisory strongly preferred. You should already understand what a CA or a Company Secretary does.
- AI-native: you actively use AI tools in your day-to-day work and are curious about how to do more with them. This is not optional.
- LinkedIn Recruiter proficiency is non-negotiable
- Sharp written communication. Our clients and candidates are professionals and your outreach should reflect that.
- Mumbai-based, comfortable with full-time BKC office.
