Role Overview:

The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across guest rooms and public areas. This role ensures a serene, immaculate, and welcoming environment aligned with The Postcard Hotels luxury service philosophy. The ideal candidate has an eye for detail, takes pride in their work, and understands the importance of discretion and guest comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Room Readiness

• Clean, prepare, and refresh guest rooms to luxury boutique standards
• Ensure linens, amenities, and supplies are replenished as per brand guidelines
• Maintain room aesthetics including lighting, arrangement, fragrance, and finishing touches
• Handle guest preferences and special requests with care and confidentiality

Public Area & Back-of-House Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, corridors, lounges, and common spaces
• Ensure hygiene and upkeep in service areas, linen rooms, and storage spaces

Quality & Safety Standards

• Adhere to sanitation, hygiene, and safety procedures
• Report maintenance issues and room discrepancies promptly
• Follow sustainable and resource-efficient cleaning practices

Guest Interaction

• Greet guests warmly when encountered and offer assistance when appropriate
• Ensure minimal intrusion and uphold guest privacy at all times

Team Collaboration

• Coordinate with front office, laundry, and maintenance teams
• Participate in inventory management of linen, supplies, and amenities
• Support smooth room turnover and operational flow

Qualifications & Skills:

Prior experience in housekeeping, preferably in luxury or boutique hospitality

Strong attention to detail and aesthetics

Understanding of hygiene and cleaning protocols

Pleasant demeanor, integrity, and professionalism

Ability to work in a discreet and guest-sensitive environment

Physical stamina and ability to handle repetitive tasks
