Head of Engineering and Delivery Excellence

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned technology leader to head our Engineering and Delivery Excellence function. This is a hybrid role based out of our Whitefield, Bangalore office with direct client-facing responsibilities at the CxO level. The role involves managing a portfolio of strategic accounts and leading cross-functional teams of Project Managers, Architects, and Engineering resources. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in IT services delivery, hands-on expertise in data engineering, and a strong consulting presence.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery across multiple accounts, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction

Serve as the primary point of contact for CxO-level client stakeholders, building trusted relationships and driving strategic alignment

Manage and mentor a high-performing team of Project Managers, Solution Architects, and Engineers

Own and resolve all client escalations with a solution-oriented and collaborative approach

Drive engineering best practices, delivery governance, and continuous improvement across engagements

Collaborate with pre-sales and solutioning teams to shape scalable, data-driven solutions

Own delivery KPIs, resource planning, and risk management across the portfolio

Champion innovation and engineering excellence in Data Engineering, DWH, and cloud-native architectures

Bring strong consulting and negotiation skills to navigate complex client needs and evolving priorities

Required Skills & Experience

15+ years in IT services with proven leadership in engineering and delivery roles

Hands-on background in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and modern data platforms

Experience managing large teams and multi-account delivery portfolios

Strong consulting presence with the ability to engage and influence CxO-level stakeholders

Demonstrated success in managing client escalations and high-stakes delivery scenarios

Deep understanding of delivery frameworks (Agile, DevOps, etc.) and client engagement models

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills

Prior experience as a Data Engineer is essential

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Exposure to and understanding of the Databricks platform
