Job Title: Guidewire QA Tester

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Guidewire QA Tester with hands-on experience in testing Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter). The ideal candidate should have strong functional knowledge of P&C insurance processes and solid expertise in test planning, test execution, and defect management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing for Guidewire modules (PC/BC/CC).
• Review business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases .
• Execute test cases, log defects, and track them to closure using defect management tools like JIRA/ALM .
• Validate integrations between Guidewire and external systems.
• Ensure data accuracy by performing backend testing using SQL queries .
• Work closely with development, BA, and business teams to understand requirements and clarify issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospective meetings).
• Support UAT by helping business users with test scenarios and defect triage.
• Ensure adherence to QA best practices and maintain high-quality deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years in Guidewire testing (PolicyCenter/BillingCenter/ClaimCenter).
• Strong understanding of P&C Insurance domain .
• Experience in creating and executing test cases, test plans, and test scripts .
• Hands-on experience with Guidewire configurations , product model, rating, or workflows is a plus.
• Good understanding of integration testing and validating XML/JSON API responses.
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, Postman , or similar.
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have:

• Guidewire Certification (PC/BC/CC Specialist or Associate).
• Knowledge of automation tools (Selenium, REST Assured) is an advantage.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
