Job Description

We are looking for a Fundraising Lead to own and drive our capital-raising efforts for the Indian startup ecosystem. This role will work closely with the founder(s) to shape the fundraising narrative, manage investor outreach, and run the end-to-end fundraising process from preparation to close.


This is a hands-on role suited for someone who understands how Indian VCs think, has supported or led early-stage raises (pre-seed to Series A), and can operate independently.


Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising Strategy & Readiness


Define fundraising strategy (stage, amount, target investor profile)


Help refine the equity story, positioning, and investor narrative


Prepare and review pitch deck, financial model, and key metrics


Set up and manage the data room (cap table, traction, docs)


Investor Outreach & Pipeline Management


Build a targeted list of India-focused angels, seed funds, and VCs


Lead warm and cold outreach (email, LinkedIn, founder intros)


Manage investor CRM and track conversations, feedback, and next steps


Coordinate meetings, follow-ups, and partner discussions


Diligence & Closing


Support due diligence (metrics, references, documentation)


Coordinate term sheet discussions with founders


Help move investors from interest commitment close


Founder Support


Coach founders on pitch delivery and investor Q&A


Prepare weekly investor updates during active raise


Act as a thought partner on valuation, dilution, and timelines


Ideal Candidate Profile:


-38 years experience in:


Startup fundraising, VC, PE, IB, or early-stage startup ops


Direct exposure to Indian startup fundraising (pre-seed / seed / Series A)


-Strong understanding of:


Indian VC landscape


Term sheets, cap tables, dilution


Investor expectations and metrics


Excellent written and verbal communication


Highly organised; comfortable managing multiple investor conversations


Builder mindset practical, scrappy, execution-oriented


Nice to Have


Existing relationships with Indian angels or VC funds


Experience working with first-time founders


Prior role as Chief of Staff, Strategy Lead, or VC Associate
