Role: Functional Safety Manager

KEY Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the Implementation of Functional Safety Process based on ISO 26262 through the organization.
  • Support in planning, documenting and reporting the safety activities and work products in a Safety Plan.
  • Construct and deliver the safety case for every major SW Releases.
  • Create and deliver Safety Anomaly report for every major SW Releases.
  • Participate in end-to-end design traceability across the product development cycle (establish relationship between requirement and tests).
  • Conduct ISO 26262 functional safety audits, confirmation reviews, and functional safety assessments for the project.
  • Ensure ISO 26262 and ASPICE compliance for FuSa activities for all programs in product area.
  • Act as the primary Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all safety related engineering activities are understood and carried out by the responsible teams.
  • Ensure the execution of safety activities in the product's lifecycle to achieve safety according to ISO26262.
  • Lead initiatives for improving the engineering processes to ensure compliance to applicable industry standards and regulations.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of ongoing functional safety initiatives.
  • Lead the creation of functional safety awareness training programs to strengthen the organizational safety culture.
  • Lead the Functional Safety Development Interface Agreement with the customer during the program quotation phase and ensure that the required level of resources is communicated to the functional areas and program management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety measures into the design, development, and testing processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on safety-related topics and concerns.
  • Escalate unresolved safety issues according to a defined escalation path.
