Freelance Data & AI Platforms Architect

Our client, an American global management consulting firm is looking for a highly experienced Data & AI Platforms Architect to design, build, and optimize enterprise-scale data platforms on Azure + Databricks or AWS + Snowflake , with strong expertise in AI/ML infrastructure, data governance, MLOps , and scalable data architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable Data & AI platforms (data lake, warehouse, lakehouse).
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, ADF, Snowflake, Glue, etc.
• Develop MLOps pipelines for model deployment, monitoring, and governance.
• Implement data quality, lineage, cataloging, and security best practices.
• Partner with engineering and data science teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
• Ensure cloud platform compliance, cost optimization, and performance tuning.

Skills Required

• Strong expertise in Azure + Databricks OR AWS + Snowflake .
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark , and distributed data processing.
• Experience with Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, MLflow , or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of IAM, networking, RBAC, encryption, and DevOps .
• Familiarity with streaming tools (Kafka, Event Hub, Kinesis).
• Excellent communication and architecture documentation skills.
