About the role:

The Forward Deployed Product Manager (FDPM) operates at the intersection of customers, product strategy, and execution . This role embeds deeply with strategic customers to understand real-world problems, while also owning the internal program management required to turn those insights into shipped, scalable product capabilities.

You will act as the voice of the customer inside the product organization , driving alignment across Engineering, Design, Data, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure high-impact features are prioritized, built, and delivered. This role requires strong execution discipline, influence without authority, and comfort operating in ambiguity.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner directly with strategic customers to understand workflows, pain points, and success metrics
  • Translate customer needs into clear product requirements, PRDs, and roadmap inputs
  • Own end-to-end program management for customer-driven initiatives, coordinating Product, Engineering, Design, and other internal stakeholders
  • Drive features from discovery through delivery , ensuring scope clarity, timelines, and execution quality
  • Work closely with Engineering and Design to prioritize, iterate, and ship solutions quickly
  • Identify repeat customer needs and lead efforts to productize custom solutions
  • Support Sales and CS in technical discovery, pilots, and complex deal cycles
  • Track adoption, outcomes, and feedback to inform continuous product improvement


Qualifications

  • 48 years of experience in Product Management, Program Management, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Consulting
  • Experience at top-tier management consulting firms (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG, or equivalent) is highly valued
  • Proven ability to drive complex, cross-functional programs from ambiguity to delivery
  • Strong problem-structuring, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working closely with Engineering and Design teams to ship customer-facing features
  • Comfortable balancing customer-specific needs with long-term product strategy
