It operates as a defence solutions integrator that builds advanced systems in areas such as artificial intelligence, UAS/drone technology, electronic warfare, material science, propulsion, communication systems, and data security, aiming to create intellectual property for national defence applications.

BBBS develops products such as anti-drone defence systems, see-through armour interfaces, smart surveillance platforms, and other custom defence technologies. Educational Qualification:

  • B.E./B.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or Computer Science


Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Flight Controls Engineer to join our UAV and autonomous systems team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in control theory and embedded systems, with hands-on experience in flight control software, IOT, sensor fusion, and stability algorithms. This role involves developing, tuning, and validating flight control systems for drones and aerial platforms.


Key Responsibilities:

Control System Design

  • Develop and implement flight control algorithms for stability, navigation, and manoeuvring.
  • Apply principles of control theory to optimize system response and robustness.

Software Development

  • Program flight control logic using C++, Embedded C, and Arduino.
  • Customize and extend open-source flight stacks such as PX4 and ArduPilot.
  • Customize mission planning software to meet project requirements.

Sensor Fusion & Integration

  • Integrate data from IMUs, GPS, LiDAR, and other sensors for accurate state estimation.
  • Implement sensor fusion techniques for real-time control and navigation.

Testing & Validation

  • Conduct Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing to validate control algorithms.
  • Analyze flight data and refine control parameters for improved performance.

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and systems teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Document control system architecture, tuning procedures, and test results.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 35 years of experience in flight control systems development.
  • Strong knowledge of control theory, C++, and embedded C.
  • Experience with PX4, ArduPilot, and UAV flight dynamics.
  • Proficiency in sensor fusion and real-time embedded systems with IoT..
  • Familiarity with flight stability algorithms and tuning techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for control system modeling.
  • Exposure to safety-critical systems and airworthiness standards.

Hands-on experience with drone piloting and flight testing.
