Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled ETL Tester with 5+ years of experience to join our data engineering and QA team in Gurgaon. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data validation, ETL testing, SQL, and data warehousing concepts. The role involves validating data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with developers, data engineers, and business teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute ETL test cases and test plans based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Validate ETL workflows, data transformations, and data loading processes.
• Perform source-to-target data validation to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation and reconciliation.
• Identify data quality issues and work with developers to resolve defects.
• Perform data warehouse testing including staging, data marts, and reporting layers.
• Validate data integrity, data completeness, and data consistency across systems.
• Participate in requirement analysis and test planning activities.
• Automate ETL testing processes where possible.
• Maintain test documentation, defect reports, and testing metrics.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in ETL Testing (5+ years).
• Hands-on experience with SQL for data validation and analysis.
• Good understanding of Data Warehousing concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
• Experience in ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, DataStage, or SSIS.
• Experience with data validation, data mapping, and transformation testing.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux commands.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, ALM, etc.).
• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.

Good to Have

• Experience with Big Data / Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, Spark, HDFS).
• Experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to automation tools for ETL testing.
• Knowledge of Python or scripting languages.

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
