Responsibilities
Automation Strategy and Vision: • Define the overall network automation strategy and roadmap in alignment with business goals and IT objectives. • Identify opportunities for automation across various network domains, including provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, troubleshooting, and compliance. • Evaluate and recommend automation tools, platforms, and frameworks. • Develop and maintain automation standards, guidelines, and best practices. • Automation Solution Design and Development: • Design and architect end-to-end network automation workflows and solutions. • Develop automation scripts, playbooks, and workflows using relevant programming languages and automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible, Terraform, Netmiko, NAPALM). • Integrate automation solutions with existing network management systems and other IT tools. • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for network automation code. • Lead the implementation and deployment of network automation solutions. • Collaborate with network engineering teams to integrate automation into their daily operations. • Develop and execute test plans to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of automation scripts and workflows. • Provide guidance and support to network engineers in adopting and utilizing automation tools. • Develop and document comprehensive network architectures, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, data center networks, cloud connectivity, and security infrastructure. • Define network standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance. • Evaluate and recommend network hardware and software solutions based on business requirements, performance needs, and budget constraints. • Design and implement network redundancy and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity. • Plan and execute network capacity upgrades and expansions to accommodate growth. Technical Requirements
• Cisco Routing and Switching including VXLAN, CISCO SD Access, Aruba SD LAN, CISCO ISE, Aruba Clear Pass. • Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible). • Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) concepts. • Experience with datacenter networking architectures. • Familiarity with SRE operating models and methodologies. • Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks.
