Job Purpose:

Responsible for rig planning and scheduling activities to enable the timely, safe, and cost-efficient execution of drilling programs. The role ensures schedule integrity, rig readiness, and effective coordination across functions and contractors to support smooth drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain integrated rig schedules, including long-range plans and rolling look-ahead schedules (90/60/30-day and short-term).
• Track rig readiness by coordinating inputs related to materials, services, logistics, permits, and third-party dependencies.
• Coordinate with drilling, completions, procurement, logistics, and contractor teams to align schedules and manage interfaces.
• Monitor schedule performance against the plan, analyze slippages and downtime drivers, and highlight risks and mitigation actions.
• Maintain change control for schedule updates and communicate impacts on well delivery timelines and costs.
• Support rig moves, mobilization, and demobilization planning, and the sequencing of drilling campaigns to minimize idle time.
• Prepare periodic schedule updates, look-ahead reports, and performance dashboards for review and decision-making.
• Capture lessons learned from execution and support the continuous improvement of planning and scheduling practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, or a related discipline).
• 35 years of experience in rig planning, scheduling, drilling operations planning, or well delivery planning within E&P operations.
• Good understanding of drilling workflows, rig operations, and service dependencies.
• Hands-on experience with planning and scheduling tools (Primavera P6 and/or MS Project) and strong Excel skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and contractors in a dynamic operational environment.
• Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and structured reporting capability.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work within cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel to project and operating sites as per business requirements, with flexibility for relocation if needed.
