Universal Power Transmission is an electrical engineering services company based in Kolkata offering electrical engineering design, electrical consultancy, and electrical installation services for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Our work includes electrical system design, AutoCAD drafting, power distribution planning, and on-site electrical project execution.

We are looking for a dedicated Electrical Engineering Intern / Trainee who wants to gain practical industry exposure in electrical design and project execution.

Role Overview:

This role is ideal for candidates who want hands-on experience in electrical design and field work.

The selected intern will assist engineers with AutoCAD electrical drawings, electrical design documentation, and project site supervision.

The position includes both office-based technical work and site visits to understand real electrical installations and project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare electrical drawings using AutoCAD

Assist in preparing Single Line Diagrams (SLD)

Assist in electrical load calculations

Support preparation of BOQ (Bill of Quantities)

Assist in material estimation and electrical documentation

Coordinate with engineers and technicians for project execution

Visit project sites to assist in electrical installation supervision

Monitor site work to ensure electrical work follows drawings and safety standards

Support preparation of technical reports and engineering documentation

Required Qualifications:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

Final year students or fresh graduates may apply

Basic understanding of electrical systems and power distribution

Basic knowledge of AutoCAD

Willingness to work both in office and on project sites

Strong interest in electrical design and practical engineering work

Skills Preferred:

AutoCAD drafting

Electrical drawing interpretation

Understanding of electrical panels and power distribution

Basic electrical calculations

Good communication and teamwork skills
