Job Title: Electrical Engineer AC (Solar PV Plant)

Experience: 67 Years relevant experience in AC electrical works of Solar Power Projects

Qualification: Diploma / Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering

Project Type: Utility-Scale Solar PV Project

Reporting To: Electrical Area In-Charge / Electrical Manager

Job Purpose

To execute, supervise, and control all AC-side electrical works of the solar PV plant, ensuring safe installation, quality compliance, and timely completion in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and execute AC electrical works, including:
• Inverter installation and AC cabling
• LT panels, ACDB, and inverter output connections
• MV/LV transformer installation and terminations
• HT/LT cable laying, jointing, glanding, and termination
• Earthing system and lightning protection works
• Ensure execution as per approved drawings, method statements, BOQ, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with OEMs for inverter and transformer installation and testing.
• Conduct and monitor AC tests such as continuity, insulation resistance, phasing, and functional checks.
• Support pre-commissioning, synchronization, and energization activities.
• Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections, testing records, and punch clearance.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, electrical safety rules, and permit systems.
• Coordinate with civil, DC, and grid teams for interface management.
• Plan manpower deployment and monitor daily productivity.
• Maintain daily progress reports, test records, and as-built documentation.

Skills & Competency

• Strong knowledge of solar AC systems, inverters, transformers, and switchgear.
• Familiar with IEC / IEEE standards and utility/grid requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret SLD, GA drawings, and cable schedules.
• Good coordination, supervision, and reporting skills.

Preferred

• Experience in utility-scale solar projects (50 MW and above).
• Experience in Middle East solar projects is an added advantage.
