Dynamics 365 X++ Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Technical Consultant with strong hands-on experience in X++ development . The role involves designing, developing, and supporting customizations, extensions, and integrations within D365 F&O, working closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance ERP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

D365 F&O Technical Development

• Design and develop X++ extensions using best practices (extension-based development, no over-layering).
• Customize and enhance D365 F&O modules to meet business requirements.
• Develop and modify forms, tables, classes, enums, reports (SSRS) , and batch jobs.
• Implement business logic using Chain of Command (CoC) and event handlers.

Integrations & Data Management

• Develop and support integrations using OData services, REST APIs, and custom services .
• Design and execute data migration and data management using DMF, data entities , and Excel/CSV templates.
• Handle inbound and outbound data integrations with external systems.

Reporting & Batch Processing

• Design and develop SSRS reports and document handling solutions.
• Build and optimize batch jobs and background processing for performance and scalability.

Performance, Security & Quality

• Optimize X++ code for performance, scalability, and maintainability .
• Implement and support role-based security , duties, privileges, and data security.
• Perform code reviews , debugging, and root cause analysis for production issues.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with functional consultants to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Prepare technical design documents and deployment artifacts.
• Support UAT, go-live, and post-production support activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 48+ years of experience in D365 F&O / AX technical development .
• Strong hands-on expertise in X++ programming .
• Experience with extension-based development, CoC, and event handlers .
• Good understanding of D365 F&O architecture and application lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with integrations and data entities .
• Experience using Visual Studio and Azure DevOps for D365 development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with Power Platform integrations (Power Automate, Dataverse).
• Knowledge of Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for D365 deployments.
• D365 F&O Technical certifications.
