About the role

You will be joining a technical team and will be reporting directly to the Lead Drupal/PHP Developer and working in a team of developers, designers, strategists and content specialists, to understand the project needs and requirements, translate these into new and improved web experience solutions, and collaborate with your teammates to bring these ideas to life.

You will have an interest and some experience building web applications using PHP technology. Ideally you have further background in front-end development.

As we are an agency environment, you will be working on multiple projects with front-end and back-end developers, with possible maintenance work on legacy codebases. You will be expected to deliver to high standards and within your technical expertise and experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Your key responsibility would be to build Drupal 10 applications.
• You will be responsible for building custom functionalities as a Drupal module.
• You will be working on front end part of application building custom themes, using SCSS, JavaScript and twig, in accordance with the principles of Drupal technology.
• You will keep an eye on the best standards and development practices, especially Drupal coding standards.
• Taking care of non-functional requirements such as accessibility, SEO or security.
• You will need to write custom rest/soap-based integrations with external services.
• You will need to collaborate with the team in order to properly define and estimate sprint goals.
• Work with the development team to spread knowledge and develop resources.
• Support QAs, PMs and occasionally client's representation to help them understand functionalities and implementation aspects.
• You will need to understand the Drupal framework to the level where you can design custom solutions without guidance.
• Participate in scrum ceremonies especially daily stand ups and project demos.

You will need

• Good knowledge of PHP 8 and object-oriented programming
• Drupal 9+ knowledge, experience in building custom Drupal modules
• Front-end skills with SCSS
• Experience with Composer
• Practical Git skills
• An understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies
• Willingness to follow performance and security related best practices
• Good English and communication skills
• At least 1 year of agency / software house experience
