About the Role

Univest is looking for a Design Leader to own and elevate the end-to-end user experience across our mobile and web platforms

You will lead a small design team and work closely with Product, Engineering, Growth, and Founders to shape the future of retail investing UX in India.

What You Will Own

1. 1. End-to-End Product UX

• Define and drive UX strategy across all business units
• Build innovative, differentiated product experiences

1. 2. Design System & Scalability

• Build and maintain a robust, scalable design system across app and web
• Improve collaboration between design and frontend teams

1. 3. Strategic Thinking

• Translate business goals into UX frameworks
• Proactively identify growth levers through design
• Partner with PMs to define roadmaps, not just execute them

1. 4. Team Leadership and planning

• Manage and mentor the design team
• Build a culture of ownership, critique, and iteration
• Bring structure and visibility to design planning

D. What Were Looking For

• 7+ years in Product Design (Fintech experience preferred)
• Strong portfolio showcasing problem-solving depth, not just UI aesthetics
• Proven experience building or scaling a design system
• Strong understanding of user psychology and behavioral design
• Strong communication and planning skills
• Up to date with global design trends and best practices
• Experience leading and mentoring a small team
