Location: Delhi

Working Days: 6 Days a Week

Working Hours: 11:00 AM 9:00 PM

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory

Experience: 5+ Years (Direct Tax Litigation)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Direct Tax Litigation Manager to independently manage and drive direct tax litigation matters. The role involves handling complex assessments, appeals, and representations before tax authorities, while providing strategic advisory support to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently handle direct tax litigation matters including scrutiny assessments, reassessments, and appellate proceedings.
• Draft and review submissions, replies, grounds of appeal, and legal opinions.
• Represent clients before Assessing Officers, CIT(A), ITAT , and other tax authorities.
• Manage tax assessments, rectifications, remand proceedings , and penalty matters.
• Provide advisory support on litigation strategy, risk assessment, and dispute resolution.
• Track case developments, judicial precedents, and changes in tax laws impacting litigation.
• Coordinate with clients, counsels, and internal teams to ensure timely closure of matters.
• Mentor junior team members and review their work outputs.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong hands-on experience in Direct Tax Litigation .
• In-depth knowledge of Income-tax Act, 1961 , rules, and judicial precedents.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and interpretation skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple litigation matters under strict timelines.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.

Eligibility Criteria

• Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in direct tax litigation.
• Prior experience with CA firms, tax consulting firms, or law firms preferred.
