Lead geotechnical aspects of hydro projects including dams, tunnels, underground caverns, powerhouses, shafts, and spillways .
Review and approve geotechnical investigation programs , laboratory testing, and in-situ testing.
Provide expert interpretation of geological and geotechnical data .
Develop and review designs for foundations, slopes, underground excavations, and support systems .
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and guidelines (IS, ICOLD, BIS, international standards).
Perform and review stability analysis (slope stability, dam foundations, underground openings).
Review designs related to rock mechanics , seepage, grouting, ground improvement, and instrumentation.
Guide numerical modeling and analysis (FEM/FDM where applicable)
Act as the geotechnical authority in client, PMC, and contractor meetings.
Prepare and review technical reports, DPR inputs, and tender documents .
Support regulatory approvals and interactions with statutory bodies.
