Job Location- Amity University, Ranchi

Job Type:- Full Time

Dean (Academics) shall look after the academic regulations relating to all courses of study offered by the University.
He shall arrange the Board of Studies (BOS) meetings of all departments and process the files to be placed before the appropriate bodies for their approval and communicate the resolutions to concerned departments.
Monitoring of Teaching & Non- Teaching Staff.
Deciding the number of sections, batches for each theory and lab. courses.
Preparation of timetable.
Launch of new academic programme, upgradation of existing programme structure, course content, etc.
Adherence of academic rules by all teaching faculty.
Regular and effective conduct of classes by teaching faculty.
Follow up of evaluation system in its true spirit and maintain liaison with Dean (Evaluation & Academic Registration).
Transparency in Evaluation System.
Students Feedback - collection, analysis and proper action.
Maintaining the attendance, leave records of the staff under his/her control
Development of human resources teaching and nonteaching technical.
Preparing the Budget Proposal.
To participate and contribute in the Committees for which they are ex-officio, nominated or elected members.

2. Person Specification

Desired Qualification and Experience

Have a PhD Degree from prestigious Institute / University .
Professor for 8 years and adequate experience in Academic Administration at senior level positions in educational institutions and exposure to higher education system in the country and abroad.
