About the role:

This is a foundational role within our newly formed IndiAI Center of Excellence. You are not just joining a team; you are helping to build it. We are looking for a hands-on AI expert and innovator who is passionate about moving beyond theoretical models to build and deploy practical, high-impact AI solutions. You will work directly with agency teams across the globe, not only solving pressing client challenges but also building internal tools at both the individual agency level and across projects spanning multiple agencies. This role offers the opportunity to directly influence both client-facing outcomes and internal efficiencies, shaping the future of AI-driven solutions within our organization and industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Spearhead the end-to-end design, development, prototyping, and deployment of custom AI and Machine Learning models that address specific client needs, such as marketing portfolio optimization, audience segmentation, and content personalization.

Design and propose an innovative architecture solution for our internal Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, enabling our global teams to intelligently query decades of project data, case studies, and creative proposals.

Collaborate with teams/data experts to tackle data silos across the network.

Take ownership of strategic AI initiatives. For example, enhancing and productizing our "AI-assisted Input Brief" project, making it a scalable tool for the entire network.

Act as a key technical partner for our global agencies. Work with leadership to translate their business and client requirements into technical specifications and viable AI-powered solutions.

Continuously research and evaluate the latest advancements in AI/ML to introduce new, innovative capabilities that provide a competitive advantage for our clients.

Required Qualifications:

You have 4+ years of experience in software engineering or data science, with at least 3 years focused specifically on building, training, and deploying AI/ML models in a production environment. AI experience must include real-world, deployed, practical solutions.

You have demonstrable, hands-on experience designing and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems using modern frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Chroma).

You are highly skilled in Python and its core AI/ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch,

scikit-learn, Hugging Face). You have solid experience with NLP and understand the nuances of working with unstructured text data.

You are experienced with developing and deploying on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

You are adept at navigating ambiguity and working with imperfect, real-world data. You see data silos not as a blocker, but as a challenge to be solved. Practical experience working with large, fragmented data sets is required.

You can effectively articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, from account teams to creative directors.

Experience developing and managing atomic, orchestrator or meta agents.

Proven expertise in designing and managing complex AI workflows.

Experience with integrating complex API connections.

Experience with large, complex data transformations involving integration from multiple data sources.

Ability to handle data deltas and ensure accurate, up-to-date data for AI solutions.

Ability to manage different versions of AI models and associated data, especially when data sources evolve or models are updated.

Experience ensuring AI models and systems are scalable, high-performance, and optimized

Experience in setting up monitoring services for managing the performance and lifecycle of the models.

Ability to collaborate with a diverse set of teams (engineering, product, biz) to translate high-level objectives into technically viable solutions

Experience implementing security measures for AI systems, ensuring that sensitive data is handled in compliance with data privacy regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the marketing, advertising, or experiential events industry.

Prior experience working in a client-facing or consulting role.

Familiarity with MLOps principles and tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow).
