Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler with 5+ years of strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level data models. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams to create scalable, high-quality data models that support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence needs. Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure , will be an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding and experience in Data Modeling and Data Architecture
• Proficiency in Data Governance and ensuring adherence to compliance and data standards
• Experience with Data Quality management and processes
• Hands-on expertise in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and tools
• Ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with database technologies like SQL, NoSQL, and data warehousing tools is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise data platforms
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into robust data models
• Ensure data models align with business rules, data governance standards, and best practices
• Support data integration, ETL/ELT, and reporting initiatives by providing optimized data structures
• Review and optimize existing data models for performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Work closely with data engineering teams to implement data models in databases and data warehouses
• Maintain documentation for data models, data dictionaries, and metadata
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems
• Participate in design reviews and provide guidance on data architecture decisions

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Modeller in real-world projects
• Strong understanding of data modeling techniques (dimensional, relational, normalized, and denormalized models)
• Experience with data warehousing concepts (fact tables, dimensions, star/snowflake schemas)
• Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases
• Experience using data modeling tools (such as ER/Studio, ERwin, PowerDesigner, or similar)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred / Good to Have

• Experience or working knowledge of Microsoft Azure (Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, etc.)
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures
• Knowledge of data governance, master data management, and metadata management
• Experience supporting analytics, BI, or reporting platforms

Education

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
