Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Lead with strong expertise in establishing governance frameworks, documenting data lineage, and managing metadata. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with leading data governance and cataloging tools along with a solid understanding of regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Conduct comprehensive data lineage documentation and ensure accuracy across systems.
• Perform metadata review , enrichment, and validation.
• Manage and administer data governance and cataloging tools such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica Axon , etc.
• Collaborate with data stewards and business owners to enforce governance policies.
• Ensure adherence to compliance standards including HIPAA , PHI , and other regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvements in data quality, cataloging, and stewardship processes.

Required Experience

• 810 years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, and Data Lineage.
• Strong understanding of data stewardship, cataloging, and compliance frameworks .
• Hands-on experience with one or more data governance tools (Collibra / Alation / Informatica Axon).
• Experience working with healthcare datasets or PHI (preferred).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
