Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with 5+ years of strong hands-on experience in building, optimizing, and maintaining data pipelines and data platforms. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing scalable data solutions, enabling analytics and business intelligence, and supporting data-driven decision-making. Exposure to Microsoft Azure, especially Azure Data Factory, will be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines for batch and near real-time data processing
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows to ingest data from multiple sources
• Work closely with data architects, data modellers, and analytics teams to implement data solutions
• Ensure high performance, data quality, reliability, and scalability of data platforms
• Develop and maintain data solutions using SQL, Python, or other relevant languages
• Optimize data storage and processing for analytics and reporting use cases
• Implement data validation, monitoring, and error-handling mechanisms
• Document data pipelines, data flows, and technical designs
• Support production deployments and troubleshoot data-related issues

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer on enterprise projects
• Strong experience in ETL/ELT development and data pipeline orchestration
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and analytical databases
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling fundamentals
• Experience working with large datasets and complex data transformations
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred / Good to Have

• Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for building and orchestrating data pipelines
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services (Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Data Lake, etc.)
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures
• Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices

Education

Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
