Data Analyst

The Data Analyst supports the global digitalization strategy by enabling new product development, improving laboratory efficiency, and supporting cross-functional teams (R&D, Sales, Marketing, OEM). The role contributes to the setup, maintenance, and continuous improvement of a global materials data management system, ensuring high data quality and usability.

Major Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement digitalization tools to improve laboratory and business efficiency
• Build workflows, automation solutions, and automated reports using Python and related technologies
• Analyze and manipulate data using Excel and internal systems; maintain and enhance product/materials databases
• Ensure data quality through data cleaning, processing, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with project teams to expand data coverage and usability
• Support AI implementation and advanced data analytics initiatives
• Act as focal point for database suppliers, user training, and technical support
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, quality standards, and company policies

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in IT, Engineering, or a Science-related field
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and data management
• Hands-on experience with Python; knowledge of VBA and SQL preferred
• Solid understanding of data analytics and data visualization
• Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts
• Experience in database development and maintenance
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an R&D environment
• Basic knowledge of materials, polymer properties, and polymer analytics is an advantage
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Customer-oriented, well-structured, proactive, and detail-focused with strong ownership and curiosity
