Cost Accountant

Role Overview: We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Accountant to manage the core financial operations of Pine Careers. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of service-industry accounting, B2B invoicing, and tax compliance, ensuring our financial health remains strong as we scale our placement and internship operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day-to-Day Accounting: Manage all accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions for Pine Careers.
• Invoicing & Receivables: Handle B2B invoicing for corporate placement partners, track recruitment fees, and manage follow-ups for outstanding payments.
• Expense Management: Track and process operational expenses, including budgets for networking events, alumni chapter launches (e.g., in Mumbai and Delhi), and marketing initiatives.
• Taxation & Compliance: Prepare and file GST, TDS, and Income Tax returns. Ensure strict adherence to all local and national statutory compliance regulations.
• Payroll Processing: Manage employee payroll, incentives, PF, PT, and standard deductions.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports to provide leadership with clear financial insights.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and ledger reconciliations to maintain accuracy.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (CA Inter is a plus)
• 3+ years of proven accounting experience, preferably within the recruitment, HR services, or education sector.
• Strong hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally Prime, Zoho Books) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Indian taxation (specifically GST and TDS on professional services).
• Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
