BIOPOD Co. is an ecosystem services consultancy creating modular wetland systems to restore polluted water bodies and biodiversity through nature-based, community-led interventions.

About the Role

Were looking for a Content Motion Designer who can bring visual storytelling, systems thinking, and cultural sensitivity to a variety of motion and content tasks.

From short-form explainer videos to social media reels, animated toolkits to moving posters for public installations, your work will be critical in shaping how people see, feel, and engage with our mission.

This is a remote-first, freelance opportunity. Ideal for someone excited about ecological futures, circular design, and co-creating with artists, scientists, and communities.

What You Will Be Doing

• Designing motion graphics and social-first content across BIOPOD campaigns, toolkits, installations, and social media (Reels, shorts, story formats, carousels with light motion).
• Developing simple, repeatable motion systems and templates that extend BIOPODs visual identity into video and animated formats.
• Creating layouts and lightweight motion for public-facing documents and assets (launch videos for decks, animated headers for guides and reports, looping visuals for installations).
• Collaborating closely with the Founders, Creative Director, and Ecologists on the evolution of our visual and motion language.
• Bringing in fresh ideas, trends, and formats in the social and motion space that can translate ecological stories for diverse audiences.
• Translating scientific and ecological concepts into accessible, engaging explainer videos, GIFs, and micro-stories.
• Supporting basic video editing, motion graphics, and titling where needed (e.g., interviews, field documentation, process films).

What You Bring to the Table

• 12 years of experience in motion design, social content design, visual communication, or related fields.
• Comfort designing across formatsshort-form social video, simple animations, editorial, and environmental applications where motion can play a role.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop) and/or Figma for social layouts and storyboarding.
• A passionate/curious interest in climate, ecology, community, or social design.
• Up to date know how of current/upcoming trends in motion design.
• A can-do attitude!

Duration & Compensation

This is a contract-based position, with a monthly compensation of 15,000.
