COMPETENCY LEAD (API / AML / CDD)

Nature: Client-facing SME with commercial accountability

Role Overview

Our client is a global technology and talent solutions organisation enabling enterprises and GCCs to scale operations, build domain capabilities, and drive growth through integrated delivery and market expertise. They are looking for a senior, client-facing Competency Lead to anchor its API, AML, and CDD capabilities. This is not a pure technical role . The individual will front clients as a credible SME, support solutioning discussions, and convert opportunities into live, revenue-generating engagements.

This role strengthens domain-led solution ownership and commercial conversion .

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert in front of enterprise and BFSI clients
• Support pre-sales, solutioning, and deal-shaping conversations
• Translate client needs into commercially viable solutions
• Partner with delivery and testing teams to ensure execution and adoption
• Identify whitespace opportunities within existing and new accounts
• Contribute directly to revenue conversion and growth
• Build and lead a competency team , responsible for their performance and contribution to revenue and contribution margin delivery.

Ideal Profile

• 12+ years in BFSI, fintech, compliance, or API-led environments
• Strong hands-on domain expertise with client-facing exposure
• Comfortable balancing technical depth with commercial outcomes
• Experience working across multiple stakeholders and product teams
