Position: Client Billing Engineer (Civil Interior & Faade Works)
Department: Projects / Commercial
Reporting To: Project Manager / Commercial Head
Job Summary
The Client Billing Engineer is responsible for preparing, submitting, and getting certification of client bills for civil interior and building faade works. The role ensures accurate measurement, compliance with contract conditions, timely billing, and follow-up for approvals and payments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Billing
Prepare and submit Running Account (RA) Bills and Final Bills to client.
Ensure billing is as per approved BOQ, drawings, specifications, and contract terms.
Maintain proper billing formats, annexures, and supporting documents.
2. Measurement & Certification
Take joint measurements with client/consultant at site.
Prepare measurement sheets / abstracts for client certification.
Resolve measurement discrepancies and billing queries raised by client or consultant.
3. BOQ & Variation Claims
Track approved, executed, and balance quantities.
Identify extra items, deviations, and scope changes.
Prepare and submit variation / extra item claims with rate analysis and justification.
Follow up for approvals of variation orders.
4. Rate Analysis & Justification
Prepare rate analysis for non-BOQ and extra items.
Support rate negotiations with client/consultant.
Maintain approved rates and variation registers.
5. Coordination & Follow-Up
Coordinate with site team, planning, and design team for executed quantities.
Coordinate with client, PMC, and consultants for bill certification.
Follow up on bill approvals, certifications, and payment status.
6. Reporting & Records
Prepare monthly billing status, certified vs claimed statements, and cash flow updates.
Maintain billing logs, approval records, and correspondence.
Support audits and project close-out documentation.

Building faade works (ACP, glazing, aluminum, cladding, louvers, fins, etc.)
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of client billing procedures
Good knowledge of BOQ, contracts, drawings, and specifications
Excellent coordination, negotiation, and documentation skills
Ability to handle client/consultant billing discussions professionally
Software Skills
MS Excel (billing sheets, abstracts, reconciliation)
AutoCAD (measurement reference)
MS Word / Email communication
Qualification & Experience
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
37 years experience in client billing for interior or faade projects
Key Deliverables
Timely submission and certification of client bills
Approved variation claims
Accurate billing records and cash flow tracking
