Chemistry Lab Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare chemicals, reagents, glassware, and equipment before each practical session.
• Assist faculty during lab demonstrations and experiments.
• Guide students in conducting experiments safely and accurately.
• Label, store, and handle chemicals as per safety standards.
• Maintain laboratory instruments, glassware, and workstations in clean working condition.
• Monitor and manage inventory of chemicals, consumables, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules, laboratory protocols, and emergency procedures.
• Perform basic instrument calibration and troubleshooting (e.g., pH meters, colorimeters, burettes, spectrophotometers).
• Assist in preparing experiment manuals, lab sheets, and documentation as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Chemistry / Applied Chemistry / relevant science discipline.
• 6 months to 2 years of experience working in an academic or research chemistry lab.
• Strong understanding of basic chemistry concepts, lab safety, and practical techniques.
• Ability to handle chemicals, prepare solutions, and follow standard lab procedures.
• Good communication and student-handling skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain an organized workspace.

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)

• Experience with hazardous chemical handling and waste disposal protocols.
• Knowledge of titration techniques, chromatography, and basic analytical instruments.
• Familiarity with laboratory management or documentation software.

Working days: - Mon to Sat

Location:- Aurora University , Boungiri

Work Time:- 9 AM to 6.30 pm
