Chassis Design Engineer

Qualification: BE / M-Tech: Mechanical / Automobile

Experience Range: 8 to 12 Years

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design and Development: Create and develop suspension isolators for Engine/HV battery installation, aggregate mounts and related components to minimize vibrations and noise.
• Design and Development: Chassis aggregates mainly Casting parts and sheet metal parts for the mounting of battery, Engine and other aggregates etc.
• Design / solution identification as per requirement and align within cross functional department, also interaction with development partners
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the design, installation, and operation of isolators

Must Have:

• Suspension Isolator Technology: In-depth knowledge of rubber technology, including design principles, operational procedures, and maintenance protocols, Suspension Isolator Dynamics 
• Mechanical Design and Engineering: Proficiency in mechanical design and engineering to create robust and reliable suspension isolator systems for High voltage battery, Engine and other aggregate mounting.
• Project Coordination: Ability to manage and coordinate activities with cross-functional teams and suppliers for serial changes and within projects.
• Manufacturing Processes: Understanding of manufacturing processes such as rubber, sheet metal, casting, and machining.
• CATIA V5 R20: Hands-on experience in CATIA V5 R20 for model preparation using modules like part design, SMD, GSD, assembly, and drawings.
• Design Documentation: Capability to perform design documentation in PLM and generate Bill of Materials.
• GD&T: Good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and ability to perform tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Team player.
• Responsibility and Decision-Making: Willingness to take responsibility and make decisions.
• Cross-Functional Teamwork: Ability to work in cross-functional teams to support project teams.
• International Travel: Flexibility for international travel

Good to Have:

• PLM Systems: Knowledge or working experience in PLM systems such as Windchill or OAS.
• CATIA V5 Simulation: Knowledge of CATIA V5 Simulation Module GAS/GPS.
