What would you do? We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Service Group as a Civil Engineering Tower Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Civil Engineering Tower, within the Service Group, which provides engineering services for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractors in the Oil & Gas industry. You will oversee the operations, projects, and personnel of the Civil Engineering Tower, while also interfacing with our home office in Italy, where our clients reside. Your expertise in civil & structural engineering, leadership abilities, and cross-cultural communication skills will be essential in ensuring successful project execution and maintaining strong client relationships. Investment project management and control capabilities related to grid assets to enable the energy transition (e.g. transmission interconnections).
What are we looking for? Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field. A Master s degree is preferred. Extensive experience (12+ years) in civil engineering, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry and EPC contractors. Strong technical expertise in civil engineering design, including structural analysis, foundations, buildings, and infrastructure. Proven experience in managing and leading engineering teams, including performance management, resource allocation, and talent development. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools. Excellent cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with the home office in Italy and build strong client relationships. Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. Strong leadership and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Proficiency in using civil engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, GT STRUDL, TEKLA and other relevant design software. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex technical challenges. Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and practices in the Oil & Gas industry. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multinational environment. Strong business acumen and client-focused approach. Roles and Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Civil Engineering Tower, providing strategic direction, guidance, and support to the team.Define the organization of the Tower and the manpower needs, collaborating with the Engineering Domain Lead to determine recruitment plans, specific requirements, and managing the selection and recruitment processes in coordination with the HR Department.Oversee the execution of civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and project objectives.Serve as the primary point of contact and interface with our civil engineering team in the Italian home office, collaborating closely with the client to understand project requirements, resolve technical issues, and ensure timely project deliverables.Develop and implement Tower strategies, goals, and objectives aligned with the company s vision and client expectations.Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment within the department, promoting teamwork, knowledge sharing, and professional development.Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, software, and hardware, to ensure optimal project delivery.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the civil engineering team, promoting continuous learning and skill development. Review and approve engineering deliverables, including design drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports.Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations related to civil engineering design and construction.Collaborate with other departments, such as Piping Engineering and Process Engineering, to ensure seamless integration and coordination of project activities.Monitor and control project budgets, schedules, and resource utilization, taking corrective actions as necessary to ensure project success.Conduct regular project reviews, assessing performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective measures.Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and providing technical support.Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in civil engineering practices.Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
