Role Overview
The Senior Manager Business Development (Non-YUM Brands) will play a critical role in driving the expansion and growth of Devyani Internationals non-YUM brand portfolio. The role involves identifying new market opportunities, securing prime retail locations, negotiating commercial terms, and leading store development initiatives to support the company's expansion strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Expansion & Market Development
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and potential markets for expansion of Non-YUM brands.
- Develop and execute expansion strategies for brands such as Vaango, Tealive, New York Fries, and Sky Gate Hospitality brands.
- Conduct market research, feasibility studies, and competitor analysis to support expansion decisions.
2. Site Acquisition & Store Development
- Lead end-to-end store development including site identification, site evaluation, and financial feasibility analysis.
- Negotiate commercial terms with landlords, developers, and mall operators.
- Secure high-visibility retail locations across high streets, malls, airports, and other strategic locations.
3. Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, developers, brokers, and strategic partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams including operations, finance, legal, and design for smooth project execution.
4. Project Management
- Monitor project timelines, approvals, budgets, and documentation to ensure timely store launches.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, brand guidelines, and contractual obligations.
5. Strategic Planning
- Support leadership in preparing long-term expansion plans and growth strategies for Non-YUM brands.
- Track market trends and identify potential partnership opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- MBA or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- 12 -15 years of experience in business development, retail expansion, or real estate leasing.
- Experience in QSR, retail, F&B, or hospitality industry preferred.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in site selection, feasibility analysis, and commercial negotiations.
- Good understanding of retail leasing, commercial agreements, and expansion strategy.
