Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Business Development Executive located in Gurugram. The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, generating leads, and managing client accounts. The role involves building and maintaining strong professional relationships, conducting market research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute innovative strategies to achieve business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation and Market Research
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, networking, and outreach.
- Conduct market research to understand trends, competitors, and potential customers.
- Source leads from platforms like LinkedIn, industry events, bidding portals, referrals, etc.
2. Business Development & Sales
- Generate qualified leads and sales pipelines to achieve targets.
- Pitch services/solutions (IT services, digital solutions) to prospective clients.
- Prepare and present business proposals, quotes, and contracts.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close deals.
3. Client Relationship Management
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
- Follow up regularly, handle queries, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure projects align with client expectations.
4. Strategy & Reporting
- Support sales and marketing strategy planning.
- Track, analyze, and report on sales activities & performance metrics (leads, conversions, revenue).
- Keep CRM and sales documentation updated.
5. Networking & Brand Presence
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, networking sessions to build visibility.
- Promote company offerings and build strategic professional contacts.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Good negotiation and client handling capabilities.
- Comfortable with cold calling / outreach and networking.
- Proficient in CRM tools, MS Office, and online prospecting tools.
- Prior experience in IT services, SaaS, or tech sales (13+ years).
- Strong understanding of industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Ability to work independently and achieve targets consistently.
