BESS Application Manager

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform BESS product sizing and solutionizing, including technical calculations to determine appropriate battery capacity, inverter sizing, and auxiliary components based on load profiles, grid requirements, and customer needs.
• Assess energy storage requirements for various applications.
• Conduct feasibility studies and provide recommendations on system configurations and energy management strategies.
• Optimize system design considering cost, performance, efficiency, and lifecycle aspects.
• Define and document technical specifications for BESS solutions in alignment with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
• Analyze customer energy usage patterns and propose customized BESS solutions to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Develop technical proposals, solution architecture, and system integration strategies for diverse applications.
• Collaborate with R&D and product teams to improve existing solutions and develop new offerings based on market trends.
• Provide sales and pre-sales support, including participation in technical discussions, solution presentations, and customer meetings.
• Work with cross-functional teams to create value propositions and business cases for potential clients.
• Address technical queries from customers, partners, and internal teams related to BESS solutions.
• Troubleshoot system performance issues and recommend optimization strategies.
• Develop and deliver technical training programs for internal teams (sales, project, and service teams) and external stakeholders (customers, EPCs, and partners).
• Support tendering activities by assisting in preparation of technical documentation, compliance checklists, design submissions, and evaluation of tender specifications.

Required Qualification

• Minimum 8 years experiences with Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Systems, or related field.
• Strong understanding of BESS architecture and components (Battery, PCS, EMS, BMS, Transformers, Switchgear).
• Experience in load profile analysis and energy modeling.
• Knowledge of grid integration requirements and renewable energy systems.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance in energy storage systems.
• Understanding of lifecycle cost analysis and performance optimization.
