Azure Data Architect

Location: Pune, India (Full-time, Work from Office)

Tech Stack: Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Purview

Salary: 20-35 LPA

We are looking for an Azure Data Architect to join our team in Pune. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of data solutions moving from initial client requirement gathering and high-level architectural design to leading the engineering team through implementation. You will serve as the technical anchor for our projects, ensuring that data estates are scalable, secure, governed, and high-performing.

• Architecture & Design: Design robust, enterprise-grade data architectures using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse, with a heavy focus on Medallion architecture and metadata-driven frameworks.
• End-to-End Delivery: Translate complex business requirements into technical roadmaps and oversee the engineering team to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Data Governance: Implement and manage comprehensive governance, data discovery, and lineage strategies using Microsoft Purview.
• Technical Leadership: Act as the primary technical lead, performing code reviews, mentoring engineers, and defining best practices for PySpark and SQL development.
• Stakeholder Management: Interface directly with client stakeholders to define project scope and provide expert technical consultancy.

• Experience: 5+ years in Data Engineering, with at least 2+ years specifically focused on designing architectures or leading technical teams.
• Platform Expertise: Deep experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse (Lakehouses, Warehouses, and Spark-based processing).
• Governance Specialist: Proven track record of implementing Microsoft Purview for data cataloging, sensitivity labeling, and lineage.
• Technical Depth: Strong proficiency in PySpark, SQL, and Data Factory. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/Terraform) is a significant advantage.
