AV Service Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled L2 Onsite AV Service Engineer to manage, support, and troubleshoot enterprise audio-visual systems at a client location. This role also includes planning and executing AV logistics for high-visibility events such as town halls, leadership meetings, and board sessions. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong coordination and communication skills to ensure seamless AV operations.

Key Responsibilities

AV Support & Operations

• Provide Level 2 support for AV systems including Zoom, MS Teams, Cisco Webex, projectors, displays, microphones, speakers, and control systems
• Diagnose and resolve AV issues across conference rooms, boardrooms, huddle spaces, and auditoriums
• Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for escalations and hardware servicing
• Conduct daily system health checks and preventive maintenance
• Maintain accurate inventory of AV equipment and spares

Event Support

• Deliver end-to-end AV support for onsite events, town halls, webinars, and hybrid meetings
• Coordinate with stakeholders to plan lighting, sound, camera, and streaming requirements
• Operate AV consoles (Crestron / Extron), mixers, PTZ cameras, and audio systems during live events
• Run technical rehearsals and dry runs before major events
• Troubleshoot live issues to ensure uninterrupted event delivery

Documentation & Reporting

• Record incident tickets, resolutions, and system configurations
• Create SOP documentation for AV environments
• Provide post-event and monthly performance reports
• Maintain updated configuration records for AV infrastructure

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electronics, Telecommunication, or related discipline
• 68 years of hands-on AV support and live event experience
• Strong knowledge of AV over IP, HDMI / HDBaseT, Dante audio
• Familiarity with Zoom Rooms, MS Teams Rooms, Crestron, Extron, Barco, Polycom
• Experience in video streaming, audio mixing, and camera operations
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
• Ability to work under pressure and flexible hours (evenings/weekends for events)

Preferred Certifications

• CTS / CTS-I (Certified Technology Specialist)
• Crestron or Extron programming certifications
• Dante Level I / II
• ITIL Foundation
