Role Definition:

The Automation Engineer (PLC Programmer) will develop and implement PLCSCADAHMI programs, support onsite commissioning, troubleshoot automation issues, and ensure reliable plant operation across project sites in India. The role requires strong programming skills, coordination with cross-functional teams, and adherence to safety, quality, and project standards.

Experience

• 25 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, PLCSCADA programming, and plant commissioning.

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Develop PLCSCADAHMI programs as per control philosophy using platforms such as TIA Portal, Simatic Manager, Studio 5000, GX Works, WinCC, FTView, and Iconics, ensuring robust logic design, interlocks, and functional sequencing.
• Execute PLCSCADAHMI commissioning across project sites, perform PLC I/O loop checks, instrument calibration, MCC wiring verification, and validate automation logic for smooth plant start-up
• Maintain program backups, test reports, and version control, and review project documentation such as I/O lists, panel layouts, and cable schedules.
• Coordinate with PLCSCADA vendors for software/hardware and technical support, review technical offers and data sheets, and collect site inputs to update automation logic.
• Troubleshoot PLC/SCADA issues, support installation and panel integration, validate logic performance, and coordinate with internal teams and clients for clarifications, training, and handover.
