The Core is a business insights and analyses publication with a flagship podcast, The Core Report with Govindraj Ethiraj, and a newsletter with 85,000 subscribersread and heard largely by C-suite and business leaders.

Were looking for an Audience Community Lead to build an engaged community by expanding our offline presence through curated, high-signal gatheringsand extending those moments onto social.

What youll do

Build our offline community engine starting with invite-only micro events in Mumbai.

Own end-to-end planning and execution of monthly roundtables and breakfast briefings.

Help convert select gatherings into live podcast recordings (planning, run-of-show, guest coordination).

Curate the room: bring together a strong mix of business leaders across roles (CXOs, founders, investors, operators, policy/markets).

Partner closely with Govindraj Ethiraj and the Marketing Head to shape formats, themes, and guest lists.

Extend event moments into social/community narratives (before + during + after), working with marketing/editorial.

Over time, support partnerships/sponsorships tied to events and community initiatives.

What success looks like (612 months)

A consistent cadence of high-quality monthly micro events.

Attendance quality: the right people in the room, strong conversations, repeat participation.

Improved brand perception: The Core becomes a trusted convening platform for business leaders.

35 years experience in community, events, media, B2B marketing, partnerships, or related roles.

Strong people instincts: you can invite, follow up, host, and build relationships with senior stakeholders.

Solid execution: you can plan, coordinate vendors/venues, manage timelines, and run a tight event.

Comfort working in an editorial brand environment; you have taste and can maintain signal over noise.
