Associate Manager - Merchandising

Key Responsibilities:

1. Buyer Communication & Order Management

• Handle direct communication with international buyers and buying houses.
• Understand buyer requirements and ensure timely execution of orders.
• Confirm orders and maintain detailed records of buyer interactions.

2. Sampling & Product Development

• Coordinate development of proto, fit, size set, and pre-production samples.
• Ensure buyer comments are incorporated and approvals are obtained.
• Collaborate with design and technical teams to meet buyer expectations.

3. Costing & Negotiation

• Prepare cost sheets and negotiate pricing with buyers.
• Ensure profitability while maintaining competitive pricing.
• Track consumption and optimize material usage.

4. Material Sourcing & Approvals

• Book and follow up on yarn, fabric, trims, and accessories.
• Coordinate lab dips, strike-offs, and sample approvals.
• Ensure timely in-house delivery of approved materials.

5. Production Planning & Execution

• Create and monitor Time & Action (TNA) calendars.
• Coordinate with production, QA, and planning teams to meet deadlines.
• Resolve production issues and ensure smooth workflow.

6. Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Work with QA teams to ensure product quality meets buyer standards.
• Ensure compliance with export regulations and buyer-specific requirements.

7. Export Documentation & Shipment

• Coordinate with logistics and documentation teams for timely shipments.
• Ensure accuracy in export documentation (invoice, packing list, etc.).
• Track shipments and update buyers on delivery status.
