Principal Cloud Architect – Products & Platforms (Neuro Business Process)
Cognizant is planning to recruit a Principal Cloud Architect to join our platform initiatives and lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions for our clients. You will be responsible for creating and delivering cloud architectures that leverage the latest technologies including AI and Generative AI. You will also be able to play the role of an Enterprise Cloud Architect, and handle conversations with CTO and CIO teams on the client side.
Technical Expertise:
· Cloud Platforms: In-depth knowledge of any 2 leading cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS and GCP, including their core services, strengths, and limitations for Application and AI workloads.
· Deployment Frameworks: Experience with deployment of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes and managing Apps and ML models at scale. Highly experienced in managing Ci/CD pipelines including required automation
· Data Engineering: Solid understanding of data pipelines, data storage solutions like data lakes and data warehouses, and experience with distributed processing frameworks like Apache Spark for handling large datasets used in AI applications.
· Infrastructure and Security: Expertise in designing secure and scalable cloud infrastructure for App and AI workloads, including VMs, Containers, serverless functions, and storage solutions.
· Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
Responsibilities:
· Design and implement cloud-based solutions for clients leveraging AI technologies, considering factors like performance, scalability, cost optimization, and regulatory compliance.
· Develop platform’s strategic vision for leveraging multi-cloud AI services, serverless architectures, and containerization with Kubernetes and Docker.
· Collaborate with Developers, Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Software Engineers, and DevOps teams to translate business needs into efficient and secure app and cloud architectures for AI and Generative AI projects.
· Evaluate and recommend the most suitable cloud platform and services based on specific project requirements, considering factors like data residency, cost-effectiveness, and integration with existing infrastructure.
· Lead discussions and presentations with senior stakeholders, including CTOs and CIOs, effectively communicating the technical complexities of Generative AI solutions and their business value.
· Actively stay updated with the latest advancements in cloud computing, AI, and Generative AI, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance the COE's capabilities and service offerings.
· Mentor and guide junior cloud architects and developers within the COE, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 15 years of experience in the IT industry, with a minimum of 10 years focused on cloud computing and infrastructure solutions
- Demonstrated experience with SDLC, AI/ML lifecycle management on cloud platforms and familiarity with ML Ops principles.
- Strong foundation in networking, storage, and virtualization technologies as they pertain to cloud infrastructures.
- Proven experience in leading and delivering complex cloud-based projects involving AI and Generative AI solutions.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and experience implementing security controls within cloud environments.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
- Certifications in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and relevant AI/ML frameworks highly preferred.
