Assistant Manager – PE & Hedge Fund (Pune)

Job Summary - We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager Fund Accounting to handle end-to-end accounting for Private Equity and Hedge Funds. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in LPGP accounting, capital activities, investor reporting, and hedge fund NAV processes, with a strong understanding of alternative investment structures.

Key Responsibilities

Perform end-to-end Private Equity and Hedge Fund accounting, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and NAV calculations.

Prepare and review Capital Call notices, distributions, redemptions, and investor statements.

Maintain and reconcile PCAP (Partners Capital Accounts) for LPs and GPs (PE funds).

Handle LPGP accounting, including allocations, profit sharing, expense allocations, and management fee calculations.

Support and execute waterfall calculations as per fund agreements (Private Equity).

Manage hedge fund NAV-related activities, including cash & position reconciliation, P&L calculation, and expense accruals.

Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.

Coordinate with internal teams, auditors, fund administrators, and clients for smooth delivery and reporting.

Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with fund governing documents and SLAs.

Lead and guide team members and support process improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Private Equity and/or Hedge Fund Accounting.
• Strong understanding of PE fund structures, LPGP accounting, and hedge fund operations.
• Team handling experience
• Hands-on experience with: Capital Call notices, Redemptions, PCAP (Partner's Capital Account), Waterfall Calculations, Hedge fund NAV, reconciliations, and investor reporting
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
