Assistant Manager – Landscape Architect (Pune)

This role ensures our open spaces not only align with architectural intent but also enhance the wellbeing and lifestyle of our communities.

What Success Looks Like in 1 Year

• Successfully delivered landscape design for 2–3 key projects, from concept to execution
• Collaborated effectively with architects, civil teams, and vendors to ensure on-ground implementation aligns with design intent
• Developed and documented a standard landscape vocabulary for VJ projects (hardscape, planting palette, water features, etc.)
• Gained stakeholder appreciation for design aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability outcomes

Responsibilities

• Lead the landscape design for assigned projects: concept, schematic, DD, GFC, and site coordination
• Work closely with internal architects and external consultants for design integration
• Conduct site visits and support execution teams with timely design inputs and resolutions
• Prepare and present design concepts, mood boards, and 3D visualizations for internal approvals
• Source and evaluate materials and plant palettes aligned with climate and project aesthetics
• Coordinate with project management teams for timelines and budget compliance
• Contribute to the evolution of VJ’s landscape design guidelines and sustainability goals

Must Have Experience (Non-Negotiable)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Landscape Architecture
• Minimum 1 years of professional experience in residential or mixed-use landscape design
• Strong understanding of plant species, soil types, and Pune’s microclimate
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and MS Office
• Experience in on-site coordination and resolving execution-level challenges
• Ability to create presentations and clearly communicate design concepts to stakeholders

Nice to Haves (Can Be Learned on-the-Job)

• Knowledge of native and water-efficient plant species
• Exposure to environmental design standards like IGBC or GRIHA
• Basic understanding of civil infrastructure (stormwater, irrigation, lighting layouts)
• Familiarity with BIM or Lumion for visualizations
• Experience working with real estate developers or architectural firms on high-volume projects

Location & Work Requirements

• Primary work location: Baner-Sus Office (Corporate office)
• Site visits to Kharadi and other project sites as required
• 6-day work week (Monday–Saturday)
• Occasional extended hours during key design or execution phases
