Assistant Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and support financial reporting. The role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and reconciliation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end accounting operations including:
• Accounts payable and receivable
• General ledger maintenance
• Bank, cash, and vendor reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure accurate and timely GST compliance :
• GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.)
• GST reconciliation with books and portal
• Handle TDS compliance :
• TDS calculations, deductions, and returns
• Issuance of TDS certificates
• Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits
• Maintain proper accounting records and documentation
• Assist in finalization of accounts and balance sheet
• Monitor expenses, budgets, and cost control
• Ensure compliance with statutory laws and company policies
• Support management with MIS and financial reports
• Handle accounting entries related to payroll and expenses

Skills & Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Hands-on experience in GST and TDS compliances
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally / ERP / Odoo preferred)
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Educational Qualification:

• B.Com / M.Com (CA Inter preferred)
• Relevant accounting certifications will be an advantage

Preferred Industry Experience:

• E-commerce / Retail / Manufacturing
• Experience handling high-volume transactions

Salary:

Up to 45,000 per month (as per experience & skills)
