Roles & Responsibilities JD

1. Design Development & Planning

Develop concept designs, layouts, and space planning based on client requirements and project briefs.

Prepare detailed architectural drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, and 3D views.

Ensure designs align with functional, aesthetic, and budgetary requirements.

2. Coordination with Clients & Stakeholders

Understand client needs and present design concepts and material options.

Incorporate client feedback and finalize designs within agreed timelines.

Coordinate with internal teams including Project Management, Procurement, and Execution.

3. Detailed Drawings & Documentation

Prepare detailed working drawings, GFC (Good for Construction) drawings, and as-built drawings.

Ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and issued on time to avoid site delays.

Maintain proper documentation and version control of drawings.

4. Interior Design & Material Selection

Finalize interior design elements such as finishes, furniture layouts, lighting, and color schemes.

Prepare material boards, mock-ups, and sample approvals.

Ensure materials comply with project specifications and client approvals.

5. Coordination with Consultants

Coordinate with MEP (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire) consultants and ensure design integration.

Review consultant drawings to avoid design clashes and inconsistencies.

Support value engineering and design optimization.

6. Site Coordination & Execution Support

Conduct regular site visits to monitor design implementation.

Provide clarifications and design solutions during execution.

Address site-related design issues and propose practical solutions.

7. Quality Control & Design Compliance

Ensure execution follows approved drawings, materials, and design intent.

Participate in quality inspections and snag-list closures.

Assist in final handover and project completion documentation.

8. Cost Control & Value Engineering

Support cost-effective design solutions without compromising quality.

Coordinate with Procurement to finalize materials within budget.

Assist Project Managers in BOQ review and quantity validation.

9. Authority Approvals & Compliance

Prepare drawings required for statutory and authority approvals if applicable.

Ensure designs comply with local building codes, fire safety norms, and regulations.

10. Reporting & Communication

Prepare design progress reports and attend internal and client meetings.

Maintain clear communication between design and execution teams.

11. Professional Ethics & Company Standards

Follow company policies, timelines, and professional ethics.

Maintain confidentiality of project and client information.

Represent Mayon Infra Project Pvt. Ltd. in a professional manner.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture (B.Arch / M.Arch)/Civil from a recognized institution.
• 8-10 of professional experience in architecture Commercial, design studios, or construction firms.

Skills & Proficiency

• Proficiency in architectural software: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite; knowledge of Lumion/3ds Max is a plus.
• Strong visual and conceptual design skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to prepare accurate construction documents.
• Effective communication skills for client coordination and internal collaboration.
• Understanding of construction processes, materials, and detailing is desirable.
