Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Architect with 10 to 14 years of experience in PostgreSQL to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a proven track record in designing and implementing robust database solutions. This role is based in our office and operates during day shifts with no travel required.
Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable and efficient PostgreSQL database solutions to meet business requirements.Oversee the development and maintenance of database schemas tables and indexes to ensure optimal performance.Provide technical guidance and support to development teams on database-related issues and best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for database design and optimization.Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization of PostgreSQL databases to ensure high availability and reliability.Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data.Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations processes and procedures.Lead efforts to migrate legacy databases to PostgreSQL ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.Stay current with the latest advancements in PostgreSQL and related technologies to continuously improve database solutions.Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve database-related code quality.Support the development and implementation of data integration and ETL processes.
Qualifications
Possess a deep understanding of PostgreSQL architecture and internals.Demonstrate expertise in database design performance tuning and optimization.Show proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.Have experience with database backup and recovery strategies.Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot database issues.Display excellent communication and collaboration skills.Be familiar with data security best practices and compliance requirements.Have a track record of successfully migrating databases to PostgreSQL.Show a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest database technologies.Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Have experience with data integration and ETL processes.Show a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential database issues.
