Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Procurement Electrical and Instrumentation Capex / Project / MRO/ Mech spares of boiler & turbine for WHRS & Captive Power plant, R & D equipments, Quality control Equipments and central IT requirements for Up gradation and Optimization of plants as per Delegation Authority.
- Assisting manufacturing plants to improve operating cost of Capital Equipments (mainly CBA analyser and turbine ) through structuring and negotiating FMC / AMC contracts with suppliers.
- Finalization of contractor for electrical & instrumentation work for new projects and up gradation.
- Monitoring vendor base strength for categories under portfolio and regularly update vendor list through evaluation of current and new vendors.
- Associate with departments to seek new products and introduce them with active participation from units.
- Maximize OEM/Import items substitution through identification and induction of credible suppliers and achieve savings in the process.
- Keep track of varying capex and opex requirement of (30+5 project sites) Units, and Plan aggregation of requirements across several types / makes of equipment / services.
- Manage contract clauses and risk exposure to the company in orders placed.
Technical skills required:
- Deep domain expertise of E&I items
- Continuous updates on E&I technology trends
- Mastery in SAP.
- Understanding of project procurement lifecycles
- Approval workflows, PR to PO processes
- Maintaining the documentation standards
- Strong grasp of project-based procurement workflows
Education: BE/ B.Tech in Electrical and instrumentation
Experience: 10 to 15 years
